So, it's time for the first entry of 2016! May this year be filled with health, great moments and fat mailbox...

I'll start with some neat cards I received right before Christmas - enjoy!

No niin, on vuoden ensimmäisen postauksen aika! Olkoon tämä vuosi täynnä terveyttä, upeita hetkiä ja voikoon postiluukku paksusti...

Aloitan muutamalla ihanalla kortilla, jotka sain täpärästi ennen joulua - nauttikaatten!

DIY wedding guestbook

We did not want to have a "traditional" guestbook in our wedding, but thought it would be nice to gather some wishes from the guests anyway, too. And what could have suited a postcard-maniac better than using some postcards as tiny guestbooks?!

I used a shoebox, wrapped it with brown kraft and decorated it with another postcard, mail related rubber stamps and label writer. The unwritten cards we placed in my letter holder and the pencils we put to a tiny coffee pot. This turned out pretty well, I think!

Emme halunneet juhliimme perinteistä vieraskirjaa, mutta ajattelimme, että olisi kuitenkin mukavaa kerätä kommentteja ja toivotuksia vierailtamme. Ja mikäpä sopisi korttiaddiktille paremmin kuin postikorttien käyttäminen vieraskirjoina?!

Käytin postilaatikon valmistamiseen kenkälaatikkoa, jonka päällystin voimapaperilla. Koristelin sen yhdellä postikortilla, postiaiheisilla leimasimilla sekä kohokirjoittimella. Tyhjät kortit laitoimme esille kirjetelineeseeni ja kynät aseteltiin pikkuruiseen kahvipannuun. Tämä oli mielestäni lopulta oikein kiva ratkaisu!

Could not resist...

On Monday my boyfriend left for the work at 5.30, and as I had woken up at the same time with him, I had several hours free before I had to leave for the university. So, well, somehow I ended up in the official Postcrossing site and decided to send some more official postcards (despite the fact that my account is set inactive at the moment; I think it's great that it's possible to send cards anyway!).

I was a bit amazed as I didn't get any single address to Germany or to the Netherlands... It was hard to get an European address at all! Has the balance between countries really gotten so... unbalanced?

As I pretty much ran out of stamps today (I finished all my Christmas mail; will have quite a lot to mail on Monday, oops), I'm 99.5 per cent sure that these were the last sent officials before April/May 2015.

(Well, unless I'll send some cards from Spain, of course - but we'll see about that!)

Sent postcards

This will be a mix of tag, RR, swap and official cards... As you can see, I became a little hooked on this. So a warning to everyone who has been sick for more than a few days: Postcrossing won't disappear from your life because of that, but it will make a pretentious comeback once you're on your feet again.
