Sending official Postcrossing-cards once a month seems to become a tradition... These are some of the cards I mailed out yesterday (and the first one to Finland was already registered this afternoon - that was fast!).

Invasion of official postcards

I had not sent official cards for over a month, so last weekend I decided to draw some addresses. "Some" turned to 35... Well at least I had lots of fun writing and choosing the Right Cards!

En ollut lähettänyt virallisia kortteja yli kuukauteen, joten viime viikonloppuna päätin vähän ryhdistäytyä ja ottaa vaihteeksi muutaman osoitteen. "Muutama" oli lopulta 35 osoitetta... No, ainakin minulla oli hauskaa kirjoittaessani ja valitessani Oikeita Kortteja ihmisille!

DIY wedding guestbook

We did not want to have a "traditional" guestbook in our wedding, but thought it would be nice to gather some wishes from the guests anyway, too. And what could have suited a postcard-maniac better than using some postcards as tiny guestbooks?!

I used a shoebox, wrapped it with brown kraft and decorated it with another postcard, mail related rubber stamps and label writer. The unwritten cards we placed in my letter holder and the pencils we put to a tiny coffee pot. This turned out pretty well, I think!

Emme halunneet juhliimme perinteistä vieraskirjaa, mutta ajattelimme, että olisi kuitenkin mukavaa kerätä kommentteja ja toivotuksia vierailtamme. Ja mikäpä sopisi korttiaddiktille paremmin kuin postikorttien käyttäminen vieraskirjoina?!

Käytin postilaatikon valmistamiseen kenkälaatikkoa, jonka päällystin voimapaperilla. Koristelin sen yhdellä postikortilla, postiaiheisilla leimasimilla sekä kohokirjoittimella. Tyhjät kortit laitoimme esille kirjetelineeseeni ja kynät aseteltiin pikkuruiseen kahvipannuun. Tämä oli mielestäni lopulta oikein kiva ratkaisu!

On Sunday, I was a busy bee and wrote almost 50 cards... I guess that's what happens if you have a rainy, free day ahead and no letters to answer, haha. Here's a tiny selection of cards that started to travel on Monday:
