Greetings from Japan, part III

Aaaand here comes the icing on the cake; besides all that neat stuff my sister also managed to find some Gotochi cards in a post office in Tokyo (the mailbox card isn't actually a Gotochi card, but I decided to share it along with these anyway).

Last month I wrote about the very first Gotochi card that I had received from my pen pal Thomas. Little did I know that about a month later I would have the whole set of Tokyo cards! I am getting really excited about this, these cards are very well-made and of good quality - and I love the design and the idea in general, too.

Just wonder how Finnish versions would look like...

Greetings from Japan, part II

In this second part I want to share some letter sets I was lucky to have; I thought I would have seen enough pretty Sanrio papers already, but my sister managed to find some brand-new (to me, at least) sets that are just adorable. There were even some Moomin papers available there (never seen these in Finland)!

I really can not decide my favorite between Rilakkuma, My Melody and those yellow & white dogs - what about you?

Greetings from Japan, part I

So, like I told yesterday, my sister went to Japan for a holiday and she returned last weekend. I had asked her whether she could bring me some "postcards and letter papers" - and did she bring some indeed! Huh, I was thrilled to see all the cute (or should I say "kawaiii!") things she had found. Looks like Japan (or at least Tokyo) is a snail mailer's paradise...

I decided to share these cuties in several posts, so let's start with random postcards, stickers and tapes:

Aww, I love every single one of these! These remind me of not having seen "The Frozen" yet, maybe I should try to watch that. So many people, kids and adults, have told me it's great.
I also love the Moomin card a lot (surprise, surprise).

Those Rilakkuma stickers glow in the dark! And those little teeth... Have you even seen anything as cute as that?

Do you have a favorite among these cuties?

Letter from Finland and souvenirs

Here is the letter that had arrived while we were gone; Aino sent a long, nice letter with some "forest fruit" tea - it smells so good! And as it "spent" 3-4 days with a bunch of postcards in the mailbox, all the cards now also smell the same! Lovely (no sarcasm, but really!). It took me a while to figure out what the scent was...

And here are pretty much all souvenirs I bought during the trip - besides these I brought some tiny chocolate bars to my friends and then bought two souvenir magnets (it's kind of a tradition already) and a new Schleich-figure. Maybe it is not a surprise that these are all postcards, he?! I of course bought more of these, but couldn't take photos as I sent them to their new owners back in Budapest/Vienna already.
