Maybe I have written about this before already, but anyway. I have my little ritual what comes to cards that I receive: before checking the picture, I always read the text first, not only the one that the sender has (possibly) written, but also all the printed text there might be on the card's corner. I try to guess what's to be expected when I turn the card and see the picture itself.
This particular card had a text saying House made of words, or so I at first read. I thought it might be a picture of a HOUSE, well, made of some words! I didn't understand what I saw at first, but then I started to realize that "this picture reminds me of someone"... And then I read the text again: House MD made of words. Hahaha! I'm a fan, so no need to mention this card was a treasure to receive. Thank you!
I do the same when it's possible! (I mean, sometimes I can't avoid to see the picture first). I have a post office box, so usually I read the postcards standing up in the post office. Then I read again, calmly, at home. Usually with a cup of coffee or tea. I guess every postcrosser has his own rituals...
ReplyDeleteHaa, this sounds just like me! :) Good to know there are others, too!
DeleteI also read the text before looking at the picture. Usually, the picture is not what I expect. The card you received is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'd say 50% of my guesses are right - maybe it's the other 50% that makes this hobby so catchy! Thank you, I love it too. :)
