Quite a "Germanish" day

Things are getting calmer here; since last Monday I have approximately received two items (cards, letters) pro day. I think it is just a good thing; I can imagine that it could be exhausting to receive lots (and with this I mean LOTS) of mail every single day.

Today there were three postcards (+ one letter) in the mailbox, here you go!
I absolutely love this "Lord of the Rings" card - I even used to have a similar poster when I was younger.

Thursday's arrivals

These arrived on Thursday with the envelope from Hong Kong. Most of the cards I've received this year have been officials, and that day was no exception on that. The first private swap is from Gaby, and the other from a new acquaintance with whom I hope to swap at least some cards.

The Goosebumps-card was a delighting surprise, by the way: I used to read pretty much all books by R.L. Stine which had been  translated into Finnish. Oh, how scary they were those days...

Private swap from Hong Kong

This envelope arrived yesterday; it is from my postcard friend from Hong Kong. So far we have been sending cards, so I was wondering what is the envelope for...

So, inside, there was a postcard which was filly written with the nicest message:

And besides the card, my friend also sent a New Year's decoration; the Chinese word on it means "luck" and it should be hung on the wall upside down to bring luck for the new year (of horse!). This is exactly the kind of a mail surprise I love: you really do not know what to expect when you open the envelope. Thank you, Cherie!
