Greetings from... many countries!

My collection of Postallove's "Greetings from..." cards has been growing rapidly during the last couple of months. I still have many to go, though...

Postalloven "Greetings from..." -korttien kokoelmani on kasvanut nopeaan tahtiin viimeisten parin kuukauden aikana. Vielä olisi monta saamattakin kyllä...

Ordering at Postcard Garden

Päätin pitkästä aikaa tehdä tilauksen suomalaiseen Postcard Garden -verkkokauppaan - varsinkin nuo upeat eläin- ja Suomi-kortit houkuttelivat. Naputtelin ostokseni kassalle myöhään maanantai-iltana, ja kuori kortteineen tipahti eteismatolle torstain postin mukana - nopeaa toimintaa!

It had been a while since I last time ordered at the Postcard Garden webshop, so I decided to give it a go again last week. I placed my order around 11pm on Monday evening, and the cards arrived at home along with the Thursday mail - that was fast!

Paitsi noita "Animals of the North" -kortteja, joita ostin viime kesän Lapin-reissulta.

All the items arrived in excellent shape and the cards are all of a very high quality. Most of these I have never seen on sale in shops here... Except for those with "Animals of the North" that I managed to buy in Lapland last year, but that's so far away from here that this webstore option was far more comfortable for my wallet.

One of the cards I ordered had been sold out, so the shop owner replaced it with four other cards; will surely find use for them as well... The handwritten note gave a nice touch for the whole order.

Postcard Garden ships worldwide, so if you are in the need of nice, high quality postcards, I'd recommend paying a visit to their webstore!

New members to "Greetings from..." family

Postallove's "Greetings from..." postcard family will have new members this week when Croatia, Liechtenstein, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam shall join it. My favorite this time is definitely Croatia; what a photo! What about yours?

Postalloven "Greetings from.." -korttiperhe saa tällä viikolla uusia jäseniä, kun Kroatia, Liechtenstein, Kazahkstan, Sri Lanka ja Vietnam liittyvät joukon jatkoksi. Oma suosikkini tämänkertaisista tulokkaista on ehdottomasti Kroatia - vau, mikä kuva! Entä mikä on sinun lempparisi?

Thank you to Ewa Słocińska for the cooperation! All the rights to the photos belong to her.

New Greetings from... cards coming up soon

Postallove has been working hard with some fans this year, and we're about to enjoy some more cards in the Greetings from... series: Pakistan, Turkey, Macedonia, Norway, Tajikistan and Mexico will have a card of their own soon.

It fascinates me how there are lots of "active Postcrossing countries" involved in this series, but yet there are some hard-to-get ones included, like now Tajikistan or Pakistan. My favorite number one, however, will be Norway that will be well welcomed in the group of North European countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland) that already have a GF card.

Postallove on paiskinut tänä vuonna hurjasti töitä muutamien faniensa avustuksella, ja pian saamme taas nauttia uusista Greetings from...

Greetings from... again!

The popular series of Greetings from... cards by the Polish webstore Postallove is growing again (the rough released date is 6/24)- this time with five new designs. The new countries represented in the fastly spreading series are Belarus, Singapore, India, Latvia and Serbia, of which, I'm sure, especially the Belarus one is really welcome. My personal favorite, however, would be Serbia. Which one would be yours?

Puolalaisen nettikaupan Postalloven suosittu Greetings from... -sarja saa jälleen täydennystä viiden uuden kortin voimin (arvioitu julkaisupäivä on 24.6.). Tällä kertaa omat korttimuotoiset terveisensä tässä nopeasti kasvavassa sarjassa saavat Valko-Venäjä, Singapore, Intia, Latvia ja Serbia. Olen varma, että varsinkin Valko-Venäjän kortille on tilausta - oma suosikkini on kuitenkin Serbia. Entä sinun?

Thank you very much to Ewa Słocińska who kindly provided the photos of the upcoming cards!

New Greetings from... cards by Postallove

These cards have been unbelievably popular right from the beginning - I'm talking about the almost-legendary Greetings from... postcards published and designed by the Polish webstore Postallove and its founder and owner, Ewa Słocińska.

The series already include almost 30 different countries, and now the collectors are about to get to enjoy nine countries more: Barbados, Bulgaria, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Hungary and Slovenia.

I bet it'll be a great challenge to get especially the Barbados card written and stamped from that country. I'm personally looking forward to the Russia and Hong Kong cards in particular.
The cards should be out around the end of March. Which is your favorite?

Nämä kortit ovat olleet uskomattoman suosittuja heti niiden alkumetreiltä asti... Puhun tietenkin lähes käsitteellisiksi muuttuneista Greetings from...

Mikä on sinun suosikkisi?

The biggest "thank you" to  Ewa Słocińska, who kindly sent me the pictures of the upcoming postcards for this blog post!

Suurkiitokset  Ewa Słocińskalle, joka ystävällisesti lähetti uusien korttien kuvat tätä  blogipostausta varten!

Postallove again

Back in September I wrote about my first order from the Polish webs store Postallove, and as I was really happy with what I got, I decided to re-order some weeks later. This time it took longer for the order to arrive, but that was quite OK, as it was clearly stated on the website when I was placing the order.

I bought some random postcards (coffee, coffee...), priority labels, stickers and washi tapes and wasn't let down with the quality of the items this time either. A great store!

Extra cards for the order; these were nice wrapped like gifts.

Greetings from... series; the Finland cards were the main thing in my order (last time they were sold out, so I needed to act quickly).

Two washitapes; I have used the upper one  A LOT in my Christmas cards and surprises.

The wonderful Etsy

Like I wrote some weeks ago, I ended up ordering some neat stationery at Etsy.com at the end of September. The first order from CuteThingsFromJapan was a success! I have used those tapes almost to every second postcard/envelope I have written since the day I got them.

My second order was placed at pikobeagle2000 - I ordered two tapes (surprise, surprise...) and some super cute Care Bears stickers. The envelope arrived within two weeks, and I was quite satisfied with these, too. The only "but" was, that the seller sent a wrong tape at first, but I immediately contacted her, and she promised to send the right one and told me to keep this wrong one as a gift. Well that's some excellent customer service, don't you think?

The stickers, I must say, were a lot better than what I expected - they are of very good quality and it's very smooth to use them on envelopes and cards. And when it comes to tapes... Well, if it has Moomins on it, it's usually neat enough:

The tape that I originally ordered arrived yesterday:

My first order from Postallove

I had heard so many people over the Postcrossing Forum, Instagram, blogs etc. talk about "the absolute fantastic" postcard and stationery website called Postallove, that after some months of considering, I ended up clicking products into my imaginary shopping basket. Out of a sudden (well, figuratively) I realized I had confirmed my order and was left waiting for the package to arrive.

The shipping was really fast (Postallove is "located" in Poland); it took less than a week when I got the message saying that I could pick up my package at the post office. I paid with Paypal/credit card combination and faced absolutely no problems with the transaction. All the items arrived in great shape with even some extra cards!

Here's what I ordered:

... Postcards, of course! Plus some very neat, stamp-alike stickers for my penpals and postcard friends.

It was hard to choose just a couple of washi tapes from the wide range of tapes Postallove offers, but I really could not allow myself to order the whole selection, haha. These seem to be very good quality, so I bet I'll use these quite lot in my next snail mail projects.

Some priority stickers and one square shaped postcard.

Well, I think these are quite legendary postcards already. Too pity that the Finland card was sold out at the time I placed my order. But these are awesome!

A good variety of postcards, showing my favorite themes, like coffee, food, vintage, books & writing related stuff.

These were the extras I was lucky to receive - and what a coincidence! Virginia Woolf is one of my favorite authors, and I had actually missed this card while browsing the site (I had ordered a couple of these if I had noticed this), so I was thrilled to see this in the gift wrapping. I actually thought that I will frame this, I like the quote so much.

All the cards are of a very good quality, the photos are just top class and I think ordering at Postallove was very smooth. The shipping was a bit expensive (a little over 8 EUR for these), but on the other hand... if a single postcard costs 0,29 EUR at best, who am I to complain?! In Finland 1,50 EUR is quite an ordinary price for a postcard). So I am sure this was not the last time I order there.
