Even though I have not received as much mail this year as during the previous ten, I have enjoyed every single bit of it even more than before, I would say... And this surprise card from Elena with two Europa stamps made no diffenrece on that. Grazie mille, Elena!

Vaikken ole tänä vuonna saanut läheskään yhtä paljon postia kuin, no, sanotaan kymmenen viimeisen vuoden aikana, niin olen iloinnut jokaisesta luukun kolahduksesta vielä aikaisempaakin enemmän... Eikä tämä Elenalta tullut yllätyskortti kaksine Europa-merkkeineen tehnyt poikkeusta sääntöön. Grazie mille, Elena!

Meeting mail

I attended one of the biggest Postcrossing meetings held in Finland last month. Of course I had to send one card to myself, too... 

This was the first Postcrossing event I have attended during the last 12 months, and I must admit that somehow it felt both great and strange to be surrounded by so many postcards and postcard fans. 

Osallistuin viime kuussa yhteen Suomen suurimmista Postcrossing-miiteistä. Toki sieltä piti lähettää yksi kortti myös itselleni...

Tämä oli viimeisen vuoden sisään ensimmäinen ja ainut Postcrossing-tapahtuma, johon olen osallistunut. Pakko myöntää, että tuntui samanaikaisesti sekä hienolta että oudolta olla taas niin monien postikorttien ja korttifanien ympäröimänä.

I received these two cards a while back, but looks like this January is one of those "did-we-really-live-it-months"... Can't believe we are already reaching February (!). 

Anyway, this does in fact mean that these cards were very very appreaciated - thank you so much, Eva and Elena, for making my day!

Well this is a very special postcard... it traveled from Georgia to Finland. On the photo you see the St. Nino monastery of Bodbe. The EUROPA Cept stamp is wonderful as well.

Disney villains on stamps

Earlier this year, USPS released ten different stamps representing some of the most famous Disney villains. As some of you may know, I am a big fan of Disney (especially the older films), so I kind of had to get these stamps into my hands. It took a while, but with the help of some fellow postcrossers in the States, here they are now - all ten:
